What is alpha-lipoic acid?
Alpha-lipoic acid is an organic compound found in all human cells. It’s made inside the mitochondrion — also known as the powerhouse of cells — where it helps enzymes turn nutrients into energy .
Humans only produce alpha-lipoic acid in small amounts. That’s why many turn to certain foods or supplements to optimize their intake.
Animal products like red meat and organ meats like liver, heart and kidney, are great sources of alpha-lipoic acid, but plant foods like broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, and potatoes, green peas and Brussels sprouts also contain it.
How does alpha-lipoic acid work?

Alpha-lipoic acid has powerful antioxidant properties.
It is both water- and fat-soluble, which allows it to work in every cell or tissue in the body. Meanwhile, most other antioxidants are either water- or fat-soluble.
The antioxidant properties of alpha-lipoic acid have been linked to several benefits, including lower blood sugar levels, reduced inflammation, slowed skin aging and memory loss, and improved nerve function and ower heart disease risk factors.

The product contains 50% S-Alpha-Lipoic acid and 50% R-Alpha-Lipoic acid.
Recommended daily dose up to 1.8g.

Alpha-lipoic acid has a tendency of clumping. This would normally be prevented by adding an anti-clumping agent, but we do not want to add such chemicals to our products.
We believe that a better solution is simply to remove the clumps by means of a fork, spoon or similar and to avoid eating unnecessary chemicals.
Store in a cool and dark place, away from children.
Free 0,5 ml measuring spoon included. Supplements have different densities and therefore the spoon holds different weights depending on the product. The spoon holds 0,4g of alpha-lipoic acid and is dishwasher safe.
